MY TOP TONSIL STONE REMOVAL/PREVENTION METHOD
My TOP recommendation for removing, preventing and getting rid of tonsil stones for good is by cleansing the tonsils with a water flosser. The pressure of the stream of water will remove any existing tonsil stones while cleansing bacteria and debris out of the tonsil crypts. Keeping the tonsils clean by regularly cleansing them with water is a very effective way of preventing the tonsil stones from coming back.
Here are the tools I would recommend for this method:
Waterpik Water Flosser: The Waterpik water flosser is a countertop oral irrigator. It features 10 different pressure settings and allows for 90 seconds of water capacity. This water flosser can be used to cleanse away tonsil stones and bacteria from the tonsils. Click Here To See It On Amazon.
Waterpik Cordless Advanced Water Flosser: The Waterpik Cordless Advanced water flosser is a portable, rechargeable oral irrigator. It features 3 different pressure settings and allows for 45 seconds of water capacity. This water flosser can be used to cleanse away tonsil stones and bacteria from the tonsils while being small and travel-friendly. Click Here To See It On Amazon.
Monoject Curved-Tip Syringe: A Monoject Curved Tip Syringe is a cheap alternative to using a water flosser. It has a capacity of 12mL. This is my last-place recommendation due to it’s small water capacity and the need to manually shoot out the water stream (which makes it difficult to hold steady). However, it works fine as an irrigation tool. Click Here To See It On Amazon.

HELPFUL PRODUCTS & TOOLS
TheraBreath Oral Rinse: TheraBreath mouthwash can be used on a daily basis to attack bad breath and tonsil stone-causing bacteria. They are formulated to be oxygenating, meaning they use oxygen to destroy bacteria. When it comes to getting rid of tonsil stones: these oral rinses are a hit or miss. Some find that they completely get rid of their tonsil stones while others see no difference.

TheraBreath Deluxe Tonsil Stones Kit: This is a kit with multiple different products that are specifically designed to target tonsil stones and get rid of them. The kit includes: oxygenating oral rinse (mild mint flavor), nasal sinus drops, throat spray, lozenges and serum. Like the oral rinses, this kit tends to be a hit or miss. Some people swear by the products while others don’t find them useful. I have personally used this kit and, while it didn’t get rid of my tonsil stones, it eased my symptoms. Although it may not work for everyone, I thought I should still show you the kit as many people have never heard of it before and may enjoy it. Click Here To Read The Reviews For This Kit On Amazon.
TheraBreath Regular Tonsil Stones Kit: This is a smaller, less expensive version of the “deluxe” kit. It includes all of the same products EXCEPT for the oral rinse. This kit includes nasal sinus drops, throat spray, lozenges and serum. This is a great option if you’d like to test out the products without spending so much money on the deluxe kit, or if you like the products in the deluxe kit but prefer a different oral rinse. Airgoesin Tonsil Stone Remover Tool: This is a nice little tool kit that’s meant for removing tonsil stones. It works similar to how a q-tip would work for tonsil stone removal; you use to to nudge the tonsil stones out of the tonsil. But the great thing about it is that it lights up so you can clearly see your tonsils and tonsil stones. It’s much more efficient than having to shine a light into your mouth with one hand and pick the tonsil stones out with the other. The tool kit comes with the handle, 4 different types of tips, a syringe and a case to hold it all. Click Here To See The Airgoesin Tonsil Stone Remover Tool on Amazon.
GET RID OF BAD BREATH
Tongue Scraper: If you suffer from bad breath and you don’t clean your tongue with a tongue scraper, I highly recommend you try it! You’d be surprised at how much the tongue contributes to bad breath. The tongue is not a smooth surface; it’s covered in bumps and ridges. This makes it very easy for bad breath bacteria to stick all over the tongue. A tongue scraper can be used to clean off all the bacteria and gunk off of the surface of the tongue. I personally use and recommend Dr. Tung’s Tongue Cleaner. Click Here To See It On Amazon.
Electric Toothbrush: A manual toothbrush works just fine for bad breath! But I love my electric toothbrush so much that I just have to recommend it. It does such a great job at polishing my teeth and I feel like I’ve just gotten a teeth cleaning from the dentist every time I use it. Electric toothbrushes are a great way to polish away stubborn plaque that may contribute to bad breath. I love and recommend the Oral B Pro 1000. Click Here To See It On Amazon.
TheraBreath Dry Mouth Lozenges: I love love love these lozenges. These lozenges are like mints on steroids! The mint flavor is nice and strong and they lubricate the mouth and throat very well. The “mouth wetting” effect helps to actually get rid of bad breath rather than mask it like traditional mints. The ones I’m suggesting are “mandarin mint” flavor, but I personally don’t notice the mandarin. Click Here To See It On Amazon.
Stay Hydrated: Staying hydrated is one of the best things you can do to avoid bad breath. Dry mouth is the perfect environment for bad breath and tonsil stone bacteria, so be sure to stay hydrated throughout the day to avoid bad breath and prevent tonsil stones.
Avoid Pungent Foods: It’s best not to eat pungent foods like garlic, onions and tuna if you want to avoid bad breath. The smell of these foods will stick around your mouth for a long time; possibly even after brushing, flossing and rinsing.
FOODS, DRINKS & HABITS TO AVOID
Dairy: One of the most common causes of tonsil stones is dairy. Foods like cheese, pizza, ice cream, yogurt and drinks like milk or ice cream shakes may be causing your tonsil stones.
Sugar: The bacteria that makes up tonsil stones thrives on sugar. Try to avoid consuming large amounts of sugary foods or drinks.
Soda: It’s best to avoid soda since it usually contains high amounts of sugar. Try switching to sugar-free soda or quitting altogether.
Alcohol: Dry mouth is a very common side effect of drinking alcohol. Dry environments promote the growth of tonsil stones, so be sure to stay hydrated while drinking alcohol or avoid it altogether.
Smoking: According to Healthline, smoking has been linked to tonsil stones.
